What started out as a family school
project has turned into a growing grass roots charity.
At the start of its 14th year, Blanket Louisville has collected over 100,000+ new and gently used
blankets, which have been donated to various homeless
shelters in Louisville.
Kathy and Steve Fehder started Blanket Louisville
to teach their children the importance of helping
those in need and giving to the community. They enlisted
the help of local schools, churches, organizations,
family, and friends going door-to-door asking for
blankets. The result has been an outpouring of generosity on the part of all those involved and increasing numbers of blankets collected each year.
